Nicole Terrien, MS, CCTP, NCC, LPC
Nicole is a professional master’s level counselor who strives to enrich the lives of her clients through the use of unconditional positive regard and nurturance. She seeks to provide a neutral environment for individuals to explore more of what they are searching for on a deeper and more personal level, believing everyone has their own path to follow.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Development from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She is also a certified clinical trauma professional and nationally certified counselor.
Nicole believes each person holds his/her own answers in overcoming presenting challenges and obstacles that are before them. She strives to help each client reach this level of awareness through the use of mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapies. Nicole enjoys being able to guide clients in reaching their personal and attainable goals, while educating them on how to maintain the progress achieved. Nicole has received several trainings in trauma therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, suicide awareness, and treating sexual offenders. She specializes in working with teens and adult clientele. It is very important that Nicole be able to build upon a strong therapeutic alliance with all individuals she works with, so as to provide the most effective care for the client. Nicole strives to provide all individuals with best practice procedures and recognizes the importance of meeting the client where he/she is at in their treatment journey.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading, crocheting, and hiking as well as spending quality time with friends and family – especially with her newborn son, Tyson.
